One Piece Chinese Anniversary Sets, Explained

What the One Piece Chinese Anniversary sets are, how the 2nd and 3rd differ, and why collectors in the States keep running into them.

One Piece Chinese Anniversary Sets are special card sets. They are printed in Simplified Chinese. Each one marks a year of the card game.

They are not the English sets. Different language. Different print run. Different box.

Search for them and you mostly find resale listings. Almost nobody explains them. So here is the plain version.

Why you keep seeing them

The card game is big in China. These boxes were made for that market. They were not made for ours.

They reach the States through resellers. So the price you see is a resale price. It is not a shelf price.

The 2nd and 3rd Anniversary sets

These are the two you see most right now.

Each one is tied to a year of the game. Sellers list them by number. So search "2nd Anniversary" or "3rd Anniversary".

Right now the 3rd Anniversary gift box moves the most. Listings often name a character set inside the box. That is why two listings for the same year can look different.

Read the listing closely. Buy by the full set name. Do not buy by the year alone.

Is there an English version?

Not a direct one. These sets were made for China.

English players will know the cards. The art, the box, and the extras are what differ.

What to check before you buy

  • The set name in full, not just "anniversary"
  • Whether the box is sealed or already opened
  • Clear photos of all sides of the box, not one angle
  • Who the seller is and what they have sold before

Chinese cards are normal business at our counter. We buy and sell them along with English ones. Have one and want a second look? Bring it in.

See the One Piece cards in our case on the One Piece shelf. Stock moves. The count on the site is the real one.
